Introduced in the 1950s and produced by Ateljé Lyktan, the lamp features a distinctive conical shape crafted from white acrylic plastic, reflecting Bergström's commitment to modern, minimalist aesthetics. Struten, commonly known as "the cone," was awarded a gold medal at the 1950 Milan Triennale and is regarded by many as one of Bergström’s most simple yet stylish designs.
Hans Bergström (1910–1996) was a renowned Swedish architect and designer, celebrated for his significant contributions to lighting design in the 20th century. In 1934, he co-founded the lighting company Ateljé Lyktan in Helsingborg with his wife, Verna Norell.
