Helge Sibast (1908–1985) was a Danish furniture designer and cabinetmaker, celebrated for his contributions to Danish Modern design during the mid-20th century. Sibast was part of Denmark’s golden era of design. His work is distinguished by its exceptional craftsmanship, clean lines, and innovative use of wood, hallmarks of Danish furniture design. Helge Sibast grew up immersed in woodworking; he trained as a cabinetmaker under his father and eventually took over the family business. His deep respect for traditional woodworking techniques is evident in his designs.
