Axel Einar Hjorth (1888–1959) was a leading Swedish furniture designer, renowned for his contributions in the 1920s and 1930s. In 1927, he became the chief architect for Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), Stockholm’s prestigious department store, a position he held until 1938.
