The chair’s name is a reference to Ole Wanscher’s fascination with English furnishings from the 1700s. The chair is remarkably light and was designed for production, with both a removable cane seat and cushions. This piece was originally produced by Poul Jeppesen Møbelfabrik from 1949. Small and intricate details, such as the turned tops of the front legs and inclusion of loops on the tops of the cushions, show that every detail was thought through during the design process.
Marked by P. Jeppesen.
