This sculpture from 1983 belongs to a range of pugs by Sonja Pettersson. She made them using different materials, and this is one of the largest versions we’ve seen.

Sonja Petterson was a Swedish sculptor. She studied at Konstfack—the Stockholm University of Arts, Crafts and Design. Her sculptures typically depict animals that show human features. She is most well-known for her wonderfully peculiar dogs.
