Description:

The combination of mahogany and rattan in Josef Frank’s chair model 526 reflects a colonial-style influence, making it a particularly distinctive design. It is rare to find a complete set of these chairs, adding to their uniqueness. The seat is upholstered in Frank’s vibrant Anakreon textile, inspired by a 3,500-year-old fresco from a Cretan palace. Named after the Greek poet Anacreon, known for his verses on love and wine, the pattern embodies Frank’s ability to blend historical references with bold, modern expression.
